MARIIS PASSED ISO 9001:2015 SURVEILLANCE AUDIT

The National Irrigation Administration is an ISO-Certified Agency of the government. Such certification implies that NIA as an Agency, including its Regional and Division Offices is implementing the global framework ISO 9001:2015 quality management system (QMS) standards as published by the International Organization for Standardization.

To ensure the commitment and compliance of the Agency to the above standards, a Surveillance Audit is being conducted by 3rd party auditors in selected NIA Offices nationwide. MARIIS Head Office in Cauayan City and MARIIS Division II in San Manual, Isabela are among the chosen offices to be audited this year. The ISO 9001:2015 Auditor is Mr. Marlon Campued of the Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI).

During the 2-day activity, Mr. Campued had examined and assessed the compliance to the ISO Standards of the processes of both Offices, particularly in the areas of customer identification, meeting the requirements of customers, gauging customer satisfaction, integration of risk-based thinking in Office Operations, and the involvement of leaders in quality management. The scope of the certification is public administration covering the provision of irrigation services through the development, operation and maintenance of irrigation system.

As ISO 9001:2015 is the globally recognized standard focused on consistency, customer satisfaction, risk management and continuous improvement, Mr. Campued shared that in his review and assessment of documents and observation of auditee responses during interview, MARIIS is generally compliant to the ISO 9001:2015 Standards.

Such compliance redounds to the benefit of our clients and stakeholders as MARIIS through our processes delivers quality products and services.
