There is no other better way to celebrate resiliency than being together as One Family sharing fun and food. This is the atmosphere at the NIA-MARIIS Head Office in Cauayan City when selected employees from MARIIS Division Offices accompanied by their respective Division Manager and NIAESP District President attended the 35th Anniversary of the National Irrigation Administration Employees Association of the Philippines (NIAEASP) – the sole accredited association representing NIA’s rank and file employees.
The gathering of employees, NIAEASP Presidents and the attendance of MARIIS Management headed by Acting Department Manager Gileu Michael O. Dimoloy, at the MARIIS Covered Court showed the unity of management and personnel of MARIIS.
As this is the first time since the declaration of the pandemic for employees to be meeting each other, the covered court was filled with shouts and laughter of joy.
To further strengthen the bond with co-employees and the Management, games were organized by NIEASP, where team members for a team consist of employees from different Division Offices, including that of the Head Office. It became a venue of getting to know each other, especially those who are new at the Agency. It became more exciting with the managers as respective Team Leaders. Our Acting Department Manager is the leader for Team Red, EOD Manager Jaime M. Lara for Team Yellow, AFD Manager Pilar G. Cabauatan for Team Blue and NIAESP President for Team Green.
Though the event is a one (1) day event, it was packed with basketball, volleyball, dart and uniquely planned fun games. As spectators cheered both or either the team or the player, the roaring sound at the covered court resounds the merriment of everybody.
Though tired of the day’s event or having course voices due to shouts of cheer to the players, the observed camaraderie deserves a celebration. A simple dinner was shared before parting ways.
The NIAESP @ 35 celebration was a success at MARIIS. The success of the event being attributed to the support, cooperation, and participation of the attendees.
Thank you NIAEASP!
