TRIPARTITE MOA FOR PROVISION OF KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS FOR FARMERS INKED

The Acting Department Manager of NIA-MARIIS Engr. Josue A. Sabio, CIAM President Mr. Nemesio F. Yadao and Mr. Francis D. Natura have signed today, June 29, 2021 in a simple ceremony at Aurora, Isabela the Memorandum of Agreement which details the responsibilities of each party in the practical training for knowledge and skill development of farmers and Irrigators Association.

With this MOA signing, farmers and Irrigators Association will be provided hands-on training on applicable agricultural technologies and processing technologies for agri-products/by-products. For this practical training, it requires a Farm Field School. FDN Farm Integrated, owned and managed by Mr. Francis D. Nitura, is an accredited farm field school/learning site located in Brgy. Ballesteros, Aurora, Isabela, is chosen to be the venue for said training.

The 17-week training starting this last week of June pertains to Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seeds Certification, Farm Mechanization and Entrepreneurship. To encourage IAs young family members to participate in this half-day each week (every Tuesday) practical training, attendees known as scholars, will be provided P 500.00 load allowance, P 500.00 worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) consisting of face mask, vitamins and alcohol/sanitizer, and food and travel allowance.

After completing the requirements of the training, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will be giving appropriate Certificates to these scholars.
