SAN MANUEL, Isabela – A foreign partner of a renewable energy consultancy and project developer conducted site visits of potential mini-hydro project sites at the Magat River Integrated Irrigation System here on April 20, 2016.
Dongyang Engineering Company of South Korea, foreign technology provider partner of Metroaces Management Company, Inc. (MMCI) visited five potential sites which include NDC 7 Eden, San Manuel (estimated capacity of 464 kW), NDC 7 Cabauitan, San Manuel (estimated capacity of 381 kW), and NDC 7, Babauang, San Manuel (estimated capacity of 325 kW).
The three Korean representatives from Dongyang Engineering were accompanied by Engr. William B. Oppuer, Division III Manager and staff from the Engineering Section.
MMCI has conducted a series of meetings with the National Irrigation Administration Central Office regarding undertaking the development and implementation of mini-hydro projects in the Philippines and was advised to contact MARIIS directly.
MARIIS has more than 80 potential sites for mini-hydro power development.
