When the country was placed under national health emergency, only a few were authorized to stay outside their respective residences - the frontliners. An action viewed by the government to contain an unseen enemy – the COVID-19 virus. NIA-MARIIS Management and employees had adhered to this directive.
After adopting work arrangements like work from home and/or skeleton workforce, NIA-MARIIS employees reported to Office under a new normal condition starting May 4, 2020. Observing proper hygiene etiquette to include obligatory body temperature-check before entering Office compound, wearing of facemasks, and regular hand sanitizing, employees are adjusting.
To show support and appreciation to our valiant frontliners and those gravely affected by the stay at home directive, NIA-MARIIS Head Office and all its Division Offices delivered food packs for those manning our nearby checkpoints, while NIA-MARIIS Division IV opted to deliver house to house foodpacks to a nearby community, who was identified by the Punong Barangay to be among the indigents in the community.
As once was said by The Dalai Lama XIV “Generosity is the most natural outward expression of an inner attitude of compassion and loving-kindness.”
